NAPIT Announce Sponsorship of Climate Week 2013

NAPIT proudly announce their sponsorship and support for the national campaign, Climate Week, held between 4-10th March 2013. Climate Week is Britain’s biggest climate change campaign, inspiring a new wave of action to create a sustainable future.

The campaign is an annual, national occasion that aims to place green energy high on the social and political agenda, whilst helping to show what positive steps are already being taken in workplaces and communities across Britain to improve energy efficiency and sustainability. It is hoped that, by using these examples, many more will be inspired to take action to improve Britain’s use of renewable energy technologies.

Martin Bruno, Chief Operating Officer for NAPIT, said: “We are proud to be involved with such a high profile event. At NAPIT, we are committed to promoting energy efficiency on many levels. We are the communications partner for two EU funded projects, Renergy and Regreen. These projects aim to promote the exchange of knowledge and best practice of community funded and inspired case studies amongst a group of European partners in the field of renewable energy and greener buildings.

Talking further about NAPIT’s promotion at exhibitions across the UK, he went on to say: “We are continuing to exhibit at shows such as Ecobuild and the Renewable Roadshows to maintain our support for the renewables industry and to make sure sustainability is a high priority for politicians and householders alike.”

This dedication to sustainable energy is apparent with NAPIT, who offer training on a wide range of microgeneration technologies and membership within the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).  Membership is also offered for Green Deal Installers and Assessor organisations. The Government’s new Green Deal initiative allows householders to pay for energy efficient improvements to their homes through their energy bills.

Events like Climate Week are geared towards getting British householders to invest in reducing their carbon footprint. This offers a great opportunity for installers to offer renewable energy technologies that look to become more and more popular, as people become more aware of sustainable energy issues.
